Our Story
Mas Lou Parpaioun, Provençal for the Butterfly, is our dream spot at the foot of Mont Ventoux. What once began as a wish to live more peacefully has blossomed into a charming bed & breakfast where guests immediately feel at home. Here, everything revolves around relaxation, hospitality, and enjoying life among the lavender fields and vineyards.

What once began as a wish to live more peacefully has blossomed into a charming bed & breakfast where guests immediately feel at home. Here, everything revolves around relaxation, hospitality, and enjoying life among the lavender fields and vineyards.
We thought: let's take it easy after our retirement... but Provence had other plans.

From tea garden to bed & breakfast
Like all great things, we, Geert van Rooij and Ann Felix, also started small. In the Netherlands, we ran a tea garden and bed & breakfast for many years: Theetuin de Bonte Kip. It was busy, but above all, incredibly enjoyable to do. After Geert's retirement, we decided to broaden our horizons and follow our hearts to the South of France. Here, we found this beautiful house, lovingly built and maintained by the previous owners. With care, patience, and passion, we have given it a new purpose: a place where travellers can unwind, enjoy, and experience Provence just as we do every day.
